The 53rd Thompson Festival of the Arts is reaching its final stage following a visual arts showcase at the C.A. Nesbitt Arena May 15−16.
Elementary and high school students submitted a grand total of 203 entries, ranging from paintings to mixed media art and even a little bit of photography.
Just like in previous years, a pair of professional artists were tasked with determining the cream of the crop, which will be unveiled at a pair of concerts May 28−29.
The 2019 Thompson Festival of the Arts has been running since late April, with the aim of giving local youth the chance to show off their talent in a variety of disciplines, including music and dance.
