Chris Sharpe, culture co-ordinator from the recreation, parks and culture department, says theCity of Thompson Concert Series 2013-14 will begin in the new year and acts have yet to be booked with the exception of the Winnipeg-based Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre (MTC) annual regional tour stop here in Thompson, marking the 36th consecutive year the MTC has gone on regional tour. Sharpe plans to be at Manitoba Showcase Contact 2013 Oct. 17 to Oct. 20 in Gimli, run by the Manitoba Arts Network, a registered non-profit organization, to possibly get some ideas for other performers to book.

The city sold no tickets for the last two scheduled concerts for theCity of Thompson Concert Series 2012-13 - which was to have been Destino - Classical Opera 2013 on March 9 and Victoria Banks - Country 2013 on Feb. 2 - resulting in both shows being cancelled.

In February 2009, they set out for Los Angeles with little more than a 30-foot camper and a large supply of Kraft Dinner, embarking on a year long U.S. tour that culminated with the recording of their debut 11-track album The Ultimate Catch, with producer Dean Dichoso.

The band played a sold-out 16,000 attendance Family Channel Big Ticket Summer Concert last month at the 18-year-old Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto. They also performed in Calgary Sept. 7 at the Family Channel Big Ticket Summer Concert at the University of Calgary's MacEwan Hall with Los Angeles pop rock band R5 and Canadian singers Veronica and Tyler Shaw.

Eleven Past One's single "The World is Ours," released last November by Tandemtracks Promotions in Victoria, charted in the Top 20 on Hot AC, formerly known as Adult Hit Radio, a 24-hour music network, and Top 20 on contemporary hit radio (CHR) stations across Canada. Their upbeat arrangements and feel-good lyrics have been compared to The Wanted, One Direction, Hedley, Simple Plan and Down With Webster.
