The body of a 19-year-old woman was discovered inside a Garden Hill First Nation residence that caught fire Oct. 27.
Island Lake RCMP were notified of the fire around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and arrived to find the fire department was at the scene and had put out the fire.
The woman was discovered inside. Island Lake RCMP and RCMP Forensic Identification Services are investigating and the Office of the Fire Commissioner has also been notified and will be attending the scene.
