A youth on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle at the Mystery Lake Road crosswalk near McDonald's on the evening of Aug. 30, said Sgt. Rob Collen of the Thompson RCMP detachment.
"The cyclist was illegally crossing the crosswalk - riding, not walking the bike - at a high rate of speed without the overhead pedestrian lights activated to alert vehicle traffic," said Collen.
The cyclist was treated for minor injuries at Thompson General Hospital.
No charges were laid in the incident.
