The Thompson Public Library, which has been closed since March 16 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, began the process of reopening June 2 by offering curb-side pickup to library card holders.

Available books can be found using the library’s online catalogue on their website at www.thompsonlibrary.com, which also features a Kiosk section that displays new items that have arrived while the library has been closed to the public. Items can be reserved in the catalogue or requested by emailing [email protected] or sending a message to their Facebook page. The library will contact borrowers to arrange a pickup time.

When it is time to pick up books, patrons can phone the library or knock on the door and step back two metres and staff will bring the books and place them on a table before returning inside.

Books and other items can be returned by dropping them in the drop box located to the left of the library doors.
