Two people have been arrested following Thompson RCMP searches of a warehouse and an apartment that led to the seizure of illicit pills and about 315 grams of cocaine.

A warehouse on Severn Crescent associated to a local business that police says has suspected ties to drug trafficking and organized crime was searched by Thompson RCMP and other RCMP officers April 2 following a four-month investigation. Police seized pills, cash, a safe encased in concrete and drug-related paraphernalia.

As a result of this search, police raided an apartment on Princeton Drive on April 30, where they found 315 grams of cocaine, pills, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Dennis Thomas, 49, and Christopher Pearce, 64, both of Thompson were arrested in connection with these searches. Thomas was remanded into custody for a court appearance that was scheduled for May 3. Pearce was released from custody to appear in provincial court in Thompson on Sept. 24.
