Marlene Enberg, right, representing Special Olympics Norman Region, accepts a cheque for $5,700 from 100 Women Who Care Thompson members at their Dec. 7 meeting. Special Olympics Norman Region, which serves all of Northern Manitoba, was voted on as the winner of 100 Women’s quarterly donation at their meeting in September and will use the money to help cover the costs of travel and accommodations when northern athletes compete in Special Olympics events down south.
