Two men, one from Thompson and one from Pukatawagan, are facing charges of aggravated assault in the Feb. 4 stabbing and beating of a 46-year-old man in Thompson.
Thirty-two-year-old Alvin Michelle of Thompson and 46-year-old Victor Castel of Pukatawagan were arrested and remanded into custody and were set to appear in Thompson provincial court on Feb. 15. The suspects had allegedly severely beaten and stabbed a man multiple times, requiring him to be transported to the Thompson General Hospital in non-life threatening condition.
The name of the victim is being withheld by the police, but the Thompson RCMP are continuing to investigate the issue and additional charges are pending.
