The Thompson Citizen is presenting interviews with all four mayoral candidates seeking to become the head of council in the Oct. 24 election in our print edition Oct. 17. Although candidate Ryan Brady announced earlier that he was withdrawing from the race in the wake of his racist online comments from 2009 having been made public, the deadline to withdraw had already passed. Brady told the Citizen Oct. 15 that he would be taking part in the mayoral candidates' forum Oct. 17 and that, if he received the most votes on election day, he would serve as mayor. Interviews with all four mayoral candidates, school trustee candidates and council candidates are now available on the Municipal Election 2018 section at www.thompsoncitizen.net.
