Police are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred in Cross Lake June 3.
A security guard on patrol in a residential development area noticed smoke from the fire and alerted Cross Lake RCMP, who attended the scene along with the fire department, which immediately began efforts to put the blaze.
The fire caused extensive damage to the building, which used to house a day school for Indigenous children, before it was put out.
