Norman Northstars forward Brady Krentz was named the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League Chicken Chef player of the week for the second time this season after a six point-weekend against the Pembina Valley Hawks Jan. 8-9.
The 17-year-old, who is currently fifth in league scoring, was involved in all but one of his team’s goals over the two games, scoring two goals and setting up another in a 5-4 overtime loss on Saturday and recording two assists and a goal in a 4-3 loss on Sunday.
Krentz has 19 goals and 35 assists for 54 points in 33 games this season. He leads his teams in points and assists and is one goal behind team leader Clark Scaddan.
The Thompson forward was previously named the player of the week in early November when he scored seven points in two games against the Yellowhead Chiefs.
